Greetings!
My name is Collin the Red of the Duchy of Thor’s Refuge.
I represent the local (Sacramento) Amtgard group and we would like to participate in you Convention and bring a full contact Boffer Larp to your participants. We have worked with several other conventions including DunDraCon, Fanimae, Deceptican, and Fairs including All Hallows Faire, Fairy Fair, and Harvest Festival. We also have done demos at local schools: ARC, Washington Carver HS, Liberty Ranch HS, Shalom Day School, and others. We have been featured on Good Day Sacramento; have had articles in the Sac Bee and in Sac Magazine. Our Demos include introduction to our game, equipment, character classes, and live combat. We also can waiver and train participants, giving them the opportunity to battle with one of our warriors. Hi my name is Derek Matthews, and I’m building a full sized mobile bridge to take to Science Fiction shows and conventions. I am based in California so its just a short drive to your show. My project is currently up for funding on Kickstarter, to be constructed by Jan/Feb of 2013. I’d love to bring it to your show, for groups of 3 to 6 to play in the simulator. I am attempting to spread the word about the project, I just have to try all avenues open to me since I really want to bring this experience to the Sci fi community. I hope at least you have a moment to check out the project.
