Get Involved!

Westercon has a grand tradition of involving its members; the shared experience is what makes fan-run conventions like this unique. There are many ways for you or your group to get involved:

Become part of the prograM and Events

If you (or your group) would like to participate in the formal program (panels, demonstrations, etc) at the convention, drop a line to program@westercon66.org . If you belong to a club that would like to have a visible presence, perhaps you could organize an event at the convention.

Or take part in one of the participatory events, like the Masquerade.

Or your group could hold a party/hospitality event at Westercon; there is a grand tradition of evening socializing at the convention! Details on reserving a room for such parties will be published after our room block opens.

Your group may want to have a promotional table in our public concourse to show off its work and reach out to potential members.

Work on the convention itself

There will be plenty of work for volunteers, before, during, and after the convention. Drop a line to volunteers@westercon66.org and offer to share your talents, or watch for one of our open committee/staff meetings make your offer there.

Help Promote Westercon 66

We’ll be developing a whole set of downloadable Agent 66  material you can use if you want to host a promotional party on our behalf. We’ll also have banners and logos you can post on your blogs, timelines and websites.

Sponsor something at the convention

There are a number of features we’d like to add to Westercon 66 but may be stymied for budgetary reasons. Watch for information on how you or your group can enhance everyone’s convention experience by sponsoring one of those features, while offering visibility for your group.

Bid For a Future Westercon

At Westercon 66, members will vote on the site for Westercon 68 (2015). If you’d like to bring Westercon to your town in that or a future year, you’ll want to campaign visibly before and during the convention. Check the Business pages  for more information about the bid process.
